TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting temporary opportunity for an A/P accounting specialist to work for an amazing First Nations organization in BC. This is a contract full time position with an estimated contract duration of 3-6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Disbursing accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, corporations, and other stakeholders
Complete generation accounting duties such as filing, maintaining and updating financial spreadsheets.
Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payment documents and data.
Perform data entry to enter and store AP data accurately.
Check for billing discrepancies and resolve identified issues.
Balance daily AP batches
Ensure strict compliance with all confidentiality and privacy policies.
Perform basic accounting and bank reconciliations.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
3-5 years of accounting or finance experience working in a similar capacity.
Proficiency in MS Suite, Syntax or Quickbooks (Syntax preferred).
Degree, diploma, or certificate in accounting/finance
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to reliably commute to North Vancouver.
