Electrical Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions has opportunities for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team in the Montreal office of a large global firm of designers, engineers, planners, and consultants. In this role, you would be leading electrical design, interacting directly with our clients, and assisting with business development efforts

Responsibilities
• Lead a variety of medium to large-scale complex projects (Transportation, aviation, healthcare, higher-education, and laboratories)
• Mentor our junior staff and collaborate with exceptional multi-disciplinary teams using our experience at the local, regional, and global levels
• Undertake electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
• Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
• Prepare and review drawings and specifications detailing the design
• Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
• Participating in local Professional Associations
• Responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• 8 or more years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
• Experience in the application of Canadian Building Codes and Standards.
• Proficient in French (both written and spoken)
• Professional Engineering License in Quebec (OIQ)


Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with design and analysis of renewable and distributed energy systems
• Experience with 3D BIM / CAD software such AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP, power system modelling using SKM
• Project management experience
