TRS has an exciting opportunity for a talented Electrical Engineering Manager to join our client's growing team. This position is responsible for guiding a team of electrical engineers and overseeing a diverse portfolio of technical projects. The role focuses on driving innovation through new product development while also enhancing and supporting existing technologies.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with broader business strategies.
Monitor team performance using defined metrics and take proactive steps to address gaps or inefficiencies.
Act as a mentor and coach, supporting professional development and technical growth within the team.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of health and safety excellence.
Coordinate engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and operational objectives.
Contribute to strategic planning by identifying opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and process improvements.
Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Implement structured processes for design reviews, documentation, and quality assurance.
Preform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng) are considered assets.
Proven experience in leading engineering teams within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong background in project and resource management, with a track record of delivering complex technical projects.
Proficiency in electrical systems design, PLC programming, and power systems.
Excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal.
Familiarity with experimental design, prototyping, and design-for-manufacture principles.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
