TRS has an exciting opportunity for a talented Electrical Engineering Manager to join our client's growing team. This position is responsible for guiding a team of electrical engineers and overseeing a diverse portfolio of technical projects. The role focuses on driving innovation through new product development while also enhancing and supporting existing technologies.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with broader business strategies.
  • Monitor team performance using defined metrics and take proactive steps to address gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, supporting professional development and technical growth within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of health and safety excellence.
  • Coordinate engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by identifying opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Implement structured processes for design reviews, documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Preform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng) are considered assets.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong background in project and resource management, with a track record of delivering complex technical projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems design, PLC programming, and power systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal.
  • Familiarity with experimental design, prototyping, and design-for-manufacture principles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
