Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the central liaison across engineering, procurement, quality, logistics, and external vendors
- Identify schedule risks early and implement mitigation or recovery actions to prevent project delays
- Monitor supplier progress across engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery stages
- Maintain accurate reporting on expediting status, risks, and performance
- Ensure readiness for shipment, including documentation, packaging, and compliance with commercial terms
- Develop and execute expediting strategies focused on critical path items and high-risk supply packages
- Oversee supplier performance, addressing delays, quality issues, and non-compliance with contractual requirements
- Align supplier schedules with overall project timelines, highlighting discrepancies
- Coordinate inspection activities and resolve quality concerns in collaboration with QA/QC teams
- Lead and coordinate all expediting activities to ensure materials, equipment, and documentation are delivered on time
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Extensive experience in expediting within complex, large-scale projects
- Demonstrated success in managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements
- Familiarity with procurement and project systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Aconex, or similar tools)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineered equipment, and supply chain operations
- Experience working with supplier quality standards, inspections, and compliance requirements
- Professional certifications in supply chain or project management considered an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and interpret detailed project schedules and delivery milestones
