Location: Mooresboro, NC (bordering Chesnee, SC)
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonus
Pay: $115-135k plus up to 12% annual bonus
Industry: metals, industrial processing/manufacturing
Serve as the subject matter expert within the maintenance department for rotating equipment. The incumbent will help optimize maintenance activities through in-field troubleshooting, developing maintenance strategies and driving design improvements from conception to completion. Participates in root cause analysis and training of technical staff.
Essential Job Duties:
• Subject matter expert in rotating equipment including a wide variety of pumps, gearboxes, screw conveyors, and fans
• Owner of preventative maintenance program for rotating equipment, primarily oil sampling and vibration analysis
• Minimize plant down time, technician overtime hours, and maximize production
• Help troubleshoot daily breakdowns and provide general maintenance support
• Develop engineering improvements to optimize equipment run time and improve machine reliability to pumps, fans, gearboxes and other industrial assets
• Create and optimize preventative maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
• Drive process improvement efforts to eliminate waste
• Coordinate review of vendor data/drawings to develop spare parts lists, reorder points and reorder quantities
• Maintain and improve CMMS database to streamline workflow
• Available after hours as needed for technical support
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
• 6+ years of engineering, maintenance, and plant equipment reliability work-experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (metals, chemicals, oil & gas, complex processing, industrial manufacturing, etc.)
• Expert knowledge of a wide variety of rotating equipment including Goulds 3196 pumps, Weir slurry pumps, roots blowers, agitators, motors, gearboxes, large fans, etc.
• Expert knowledge in precision maintenance techniques such as alignment, tolerance checks on run-out etc.
• Experience with Lean principles strongly desired.
