HSE Advisor

Our client, a leading Railroad Construction firm with projects across Canada, is seeking two HSE Advisors to join their team in Bolton, ON.

In this mostly field-based role, you will be reporting to the Safety Manager and will be responsible for providing support for our client’s HSE management systems. This includes mentoring, advising, incident investigation, and injury management. Most of your time will be spent in the field, on projects in and around the GTA.

Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and consultation for HSE programs;
- Support management with the collection and tracking of all safety-related metrics and lead/assist with investigations;
- Manage injury claims and regulatory reporting associated with those claims;
- Assist with providing safety-related training;
- Keep records as necessary to comply with relevant laws and regulations;
- Assist with audits & inspections;
- Able to help with the creation of strategic safety initiatives

Qualifications:
- A professional designation such as a CRSP, CSP, CHSC, P.Eng, would be considered an asset;
- Relevant Health and Safety training and education is considered an asset;
- Heavy or Light Rail and/or construction experience is a strong asset;
- Field auditing & investigation experience;
- Experience with Injury management;
- These roles will be based in the GTA but there is the potential to travel anywhere in Canada/US;
- Strong understanding of provincial safety and worker's compensation legislation;
