An ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, who can build and maintain positive relationships with partners across all levels of our organization. Someone who has strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills would be an excellent fit.
Job Duties:
- Create, define, and oversee the evaluation of bids from consultants and contractors, ensuring alignment with appropriate RFP criteria and bid evaluation standards within the planning domain.
- Develop and assess schedule management plans, both internally and from external service providers.
- Evaluate submitted schedules and their underlying rationale for all consultant and contractor scopes of work.
- Generate L3/L4 resource-loaded schedules for Owner or SERA scope.
- Coordinate the integration of subcontractor schedules into the overarching master schedule.
- Detect schedule deviations within the scope, collaborate with the package owner to identify and execute mitigating actions.
- Identify critical or near-critical paths and grasp the utilization of float within third-party schedules.
- Provide support for monthly forecasting efforts.
- Assist in project reporting and presentations.
- Conduct scheduling audits on service providers.
- Organize workshops with Project Teams.
- Oversee and implement schedule risk analysis.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a trade-related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of fifteen years of project planning experience within the mining industry.
- Seven years of experience in an Owner’s capacity.
- Five years of hands-on experience in the field and in leading and nurturing teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning/scheduling development, review, and analysis.
- Proficient in schedule risk analysis techniques and planning sessions.
- Proficient in developing standards and tools to support Planning.
- Strong understanding of the engineering and construction sector.
- Registration as a PEng or AScT is beneficial.
- Possession of CCP, CEP, PMP, or similar designations is advantageous.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
