TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Process Engineering Lead - Leaching role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Contribute to planning, scheduling, audits, and design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, technology evaluations, and process optimization to support safe, reliable, and cost‑effective designs.
• Review laboratory and pilot‑plant data, identify gaps, and recommend additional test work needed to advance design accuracy.
• Support health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Oversee and guide external specialists performing modelling or advanced analysis for critical equipment and process configurations.
• Develop process deliverables for study through detailed‑design phases, ensuring high‑quality documentation and alignment with project goals.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and stakeholders to confirm requirements, resolve technical issues, and support integrated project development.
• Lead a small process engineering team in developing designs for leaching‑related systems, including dissolution, solution treatment, solvent extraction, crystallization, and acid‑handling processes.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant process engineering experience, ideally involving hydrometallurgy, leaching, chemical processing, or solution-based extraction systems.
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng./PE) registration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate confidently with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of applicable engineering codes, environmental requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to handle detailed technical work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
