Position: CNC Machinist – Horizontal Lathes (DMG, Mazak, Doosan)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina 
Shift: 3rd Shift | Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Compensation: $24.90–$44.50/hour + Shift Differential | Overtime Available

About the Role
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinists to join our team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain horizontal CNC lathes (DMG, Mazak, and Doosan) to produce high-precision components. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring our products meet exacting standards for quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate horizontal CNC lathes to machine parts to tolerances within ±0.001”
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
  • Load raw materials and configure tooling according to job specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain accuracy
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production challenges

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating horizontal CNC lathes
  • Hands-on experience with DMG, Mazak, and/or Doosan machines and controls (Fanuc, Mazatrol)
  • Solid understanding of G-code and M-code programming
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Experience in a high-precision, low-volume manufacturing environment
  • Basic CNC programming and editing skills preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
  • Must be a sole U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
