Ground Hand

PRIMARY FUNCTION: ( $15/hr )
This position is responsible for the ground support in the forging and hammer shop operations in a general labor capacity.

2.0 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in document and material control.
• Operates forge support equipment (heat number stamps, centering devices, hammers for moving or loosening tools, air nozzles, lubricant spray).
• Inspects tooling set-ups, performing tooling re-sets and any other support required by the blacksmith to perform production activity.
• Responsible for daily housekeeping and safety.
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Support and/or participate in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Programs
• Proactively participates in AFGlobal’s Safety Program
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


3.2 Education and/or Experience
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• 2 years of experience in a forge environment preferred
• Some forklift experience, a plus


1st shift
M – F (5am – 5pm)
Sat (5am – 1pm)
