As a Maintenance Engineer, you will have a significant impact on production equipment performance by reducing frequency of equipment failure and the time it takes to perform repairs. Our focus is on proactive maintenance – identifying and corrective sources of potential failures before they impact operations. You will have the opportunity to create this environment through setting the standard for design and installation of new equipment, developing inspection activities using advanced technologies, and working with technicians and operators to ensure work is performed to the highest standard.
- Lead root cause analysis activities for downtime/quality/rate deviations – identify problem and impact, determine root cause utilizing 5 why/fishbone techniques and implement necessary preventative actions using data to determine where to focus efforts and validate improvements.
- Champion approaches of design for reliability and design for maintainability and best practices for installation to ensure equipment can meet performance standards for availability
- Ensure maintenance team is prepared for new equipment by ensuring proper spares, PM strategies, technical documentation, and training is performed prior to deployment
- Proactive maintenance strategy development to reduce unplanned downtime – including preventative and predictive techniques and autonomous (operator-driven) maintenance activities
- Develop precision job plans for routine, complex, and proactive maintenance activities specifying tasks, tools, resources, parts required to complete, and time estimates
- Determine opportunities for design changes to improve equipment reliability, design/collaborate with engineering to implement using data to measure improvement
- Reduce costs through optimization of maintenance tasks and equipment reliability enhancements
- Provide on-demand technical support as required
