About the Role
We’re seeking a Manager – Workplace Technology to lead end-user computing operations across our Redwood City office and other U.S. locations. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of 4–5 engineers, ensuring high service standards, and driving innovation in IT support and infrastructure.
This position is ideal for a senior-level IT professional with a proven track record in team leadership, hardware lifecycle management, and vendor coordination. You’ll play a key role in optimizing digital infrastructure, implementing AI productivity tools, and maintaining compliance across all IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Operational Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Workplace Technology team (L1/L2 support).
- Define and monitor SLAs; act as escalation point for critical issues.
- Oversee hardware/software troubleshooting, OS installations, and device configuration.
- Manage IT asset tracking, audits, laptop buyback programs, and refresh cycles.
- Coordinate laptop dispatch, returns, and e-waste disposal.
- Maintain vendor relationships for repairs, replacements, and service agreements.
- Support LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting and printer issues.
- Ensure secure and efficient data infrastructure.
- Explore and implement AI tools; manage AI governance frameworks.
- Conduct IT audits and maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years in IT support/workplace tech, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Windows OS, Microsoft 365, imaging tools, asset management systems, ticketing platforms, basic networking (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
