Process Engineer – Simulation & Major Equipment (4 Positions)

12‑Month Temporary Term | Calgary, AB

We are seeking four (4) Process Engineers to support simulation validation, major equipment sizing, and process design deliverables for full‑cycle gas processing and modular facility projects. This role involves developing and updating PFDs and P&IDs, validating process performance, and ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and project requirements.

These roles are part of a 12‑month temporary term based out of our client's Southeast Calgary office.

Key Responsibilities

Process Simulation & Design

• Develop and validate process simulations for major process units and various operating modes.
• Generate, update, and maintain PFDs and P&IDs throughout project phases (FEED to IFA/IFC).
• Apply engineering specifications and design codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Major Equipment Sizing & Evaluation

• Perform sizing, rating, and performance assessments for:
  • Heat exchangers, coolers
  • Vessels and towers
  • Pumps and compressors
  • Tanks and other key process equipment
• Conduct tower layout, tray configuration, and tank sizing per code and design criteria.
• Integrate finalized sizing calculations and vendor data into P&ID updates.

Coordination & Technical Support

• Work with vendors and mechanical/piping teams to align equipment requirements.
• Support development of process documentation: datasheets, design basis, operating manuals.
• Contribute to start‑up readiness through accurate process engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate data integration across multi‑discipline engineering teams.
