Civil Engineer
We currently seek a high-caliber Mid- to Senior-Level Civil Engineer (PE) for a direct hire basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals in Coos Bay, Oregon.

At TRS Staffing Solutions, we connect top talent with leading organizations across the globe. Our client is a well-established, employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering and geosciences consulting firm with a strong regional presence and a deep commitment to supporting rural and coastal communities. The firm delivers engineering solutions for both public and private sector clients and is known for its collaborative culture, long-term sustainability mindset, and emphasis on work-life balance.
This role offers more than a traditional senior engineering position—it represents an opportunity to play a leadership role in a growing regional office and contribute to long-term business strategy along the Oregon coast.

Position Overview:
The Mid- to Senior-Level Civil Engineer (PE) will provide technical leadership and project oversight for a diverse portfolio of municipal civil engineering projects. The position combines hands-on engineering, mentoring of junior staff, client engagement, and participation in business development and regional growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a variety of municipal civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, stormwater, and public works efforts
  • Coordinate project delivery, quality control, technical standards, and peer review
  • Serve as a technical resource and coach for developing engineers and junior staff
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify and grow new project opportunities and revenue streams
  • Engage with public agency and private-sector clients to support long-term partnerships
  • Contribute to strategic planning and expansion of the coastal regional office
  • Balance technical execution with the business side of engineering consulting

Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or California (or ability to obtain Oregon licensure)
  • 8+ years of civil engineering experience, with a strong focus on municipal engineering services
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor technical staff
  • Interest in both technical excellence and the business aspects of consulting engineering
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
