Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (CM) to provide on‑site construction management oversight for a series of capital projects at our client site in Newburgh, IN. This short‑term engagement will require a highly seasoned professional with extensive industrial project experience and a strong background in field safety, contractor coordination, and construction execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily construction management oversight for capital project activities on an operating industrial site.
- Monitor field execution to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and client standards.
- Coordinate and interface with contractors, site personnel, and project stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project continuity.
- Oversee field safety compliance, including participation in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and site audits.
- Track daily progress, maintain documentation, and provide regular updates to project leadership.
- Ensure quality control, adherence to schedule, and support issue escalation and resolution.
- Verify that project deliverables and construction milestones are met within defined timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of construction management experience, preferably in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Industrial work site experience with strong competency in field safety practices and contractor oversight.
- Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 16+ years of relevant experience, or
- Non‑degreed candidates with 20+ years of directly applicable construction management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors and maintain strong communication in a fast‑paced field environment.
- Proven track record of managing construction activities safely within active industrial facilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with metals, manufacturing, industrial chemical, or similar heavy‑industry projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and industrial site protocols.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and field coordination abilities.
