Our Partner, a manufacturer of cryogenic equipment , is looking for a Document Control Specialist. This is an excellent full-time opportunity located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Distributes preliminary designs, new designs, Vendor and Client documents. Responsible for distribution of files package information on completion, maintains Engineering records relative to print documentation and control.
• Maintains company print files and document files. Files all prints in their numerical order.
• Operates and maintains reproduction equipment. Assists on breakdowns of equipment,
reports and works with repair people when called, responsibility to report repairs when needed.
• Ensures copiers, scanners, plotters, & fax machines are properly maintained and stocked
• Maintains accurate index of controlled document locations, promptly and accurately distributes controlled documents as directed by Project Manager or Project Engineer, maintains index of external controlled documents, maintains current revisions of external controlled documents.
• Keeps Engineering Manager informed of developments necessary for effective management of technical documents.
• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications needed:
• Knowledge and understanding of Company safety procedures and policies.
• Awareness and understanding of Company quality standards.
• Knowledge of filing systems, both manual and electronic.
• Knowledge of Intergraph Smart Plant Foundation.
• Thorough knowledge of technical (engineering) services procedures as they relate to work l.
• Effective use of personal computers, including Excel, Word, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Technical writing experience a plus

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma
• Vocational school education a plus.
• 2+ years experience maintaining records - manual or computer based systems.
