Reports to: Process Automation/E&I Superintendent
Pay: $115-150k plus up to 12% annual bonus
Relocation: full relocation available
Objective:
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all electrical system components, interact to maintain integrity of the system by planning and executing changes necessary for reliable operation and continuous improvement, and be a training source for the electrical branch of the Maintenance Department.
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Develop troubleshooting guides and assist electrical technicians with implementation to avoid production stoppages. In collaboration with external engineering resources, design, calculate and draft electrical and instrumentation changes required for improvements – includes wiring specifications and requisitions for components
• Estimate electrical and instrumentation costs for proposed projects in collaboration with electrical contractors.
• Provide technical information essential to the work done by plant electricians and hired contractors and perform quality control/inspections of completed work.
• Interact with management, operating department, maintenance, safety, and environmental personnel to maintain day-to-day operations.
• Analyze electrical data for the purpose of reducing downtime, identifying root cause, implementing corrective actions continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary contact for the electrical utility in terms of maintenance, billing, and troubleshooting. Requires on-call support for power outages and living within 1hour of plant.
• Serve as electrical project engineer/manager for capital projects through the entire lifecycle: identification, design, build, and commissioning to include contractor oversight in all phases.
• Manage plant CCTV system to include additions, upgrades, and replacement of camera systems and components.
Requirements:
• BS or AS Degree in Electrical Engineering OR closely related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role in an industrial processing facility is required (metals, chemicals, nuclear power, foundry, refinery, oil/gas, or similar industrial manufacturing environment experience preferred)
• Experience with OT, plant industrial network support, Siemens PCS7 for automation is required
• Experience understanding PM systems and Standard Practice Instructions is desired
• Experience understanding PLC/DCS code for troubleshooting equipment is desired
• Experience with high voltage transmission and high current DC systems is desired
**Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, regardless of authorization or visa transfer
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical to be eligible for hire
**Must pass a fit and pulmonary test to wear a respirator (use of a respirator will be very rare
