Our Client who specializes engineering and construction is hiring for an Electrical QA/AC in Hillsboro, OR for contract needs.
Traveler welcome with $750 weekly per diem!!!
QAR is responsible for Code compliance and design constructability resource for CS Construction Management and Engineering and Design Groups. Discipline specific installation support (ie. EEW kits for Electrical, high purity analytical for Process, exhaust test and balance for Mechanical, cleanroom for architectural)
Position Specifics
Qualified to inspect all materials received prior to installation or use to ensure fabrication specifications are met, ensure that installations are performed in accordance with the following:
- Master Specifications, Standard Installation Details, State and Local Codes UMC, UBC UPC and NFPA, SMACNA Standards, and International Codes, ASME, AWS
- Interface with OM/PM/CC and Trades on matters affecting the project quality of work and system operation
- Interface with Contractor supervision on functions and requirements for installations
- Assist trades in identifying and solving construction problems
- Perform all necessary inspections and equipment signoff requirements
- Participate in SOP and perform SIPP and Pre-Task Plan audits for compliance to all requirements
- Coordinate with tool owners to have the trades prepared for SL1/SL2
- Able to resolve technical construction questions and answer discipline specific RFIs.
- Also includes any discipline specific requirements as listed below.
Education/ Experience
High school degree or GED equivalent
Must have a minimum of 6 years experience in similar QAQC type roles for major high tech construction projects Must have journeyman level experience in the specific trade discipline (Electrical)
Skills
Able to communicate with trades (speak language of the trades). Technically skilled to act as the interface between trades, the designers and the tool owners. Need to understand tool drawing set for the corresponding functional area, to solve field contraction issues.
Thorough understanding of respective discipline (EL, ME, PI, AR, LSS) to drive trade’s coordination. Understanding of Area Layout. Knowledge of microschedule for pre facilitation, understanding of sequence of construction activities and tool sequence.
Able to track hours in the field and to assess earned value. Coordinate prefacilities readiness check lists. Able to resolve technical construction questions in the field.
Strong knowledge is required in the following areas; local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices
Electrical Specific Information
· Support all customers in driving resolution to design package and panel schedule issues
· Manage the EEW, COHE and lock out/tag out procedures and sign-off
· Review Electrical SIPP’s for accuracy of content
· Desired Electrical Professional Certifications
o ASSE – American Society of Safety Engineers
o IAEI – International Association of Electrical Inspectors
