Immediate need for Electricians in Fort Sill, Oklahoma for contract to hire positions!
ELECTRICIAN
Currently seeking a Electrician to work on a remote job site to install conduit wire, smart meters, CTs (current transformer), PTs (potential transformer), and network switches. The perfect candidate will also pull and terminate communication cables and conduct electrical outages.
An Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of electronics our electrician experience. Must be willing to travel to other cities within the state when needed. Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required. US Citizenship Required.
DESIRED: Willing to travel. OSHA 10 or 30 preferred. Army Construction Quality Management. NFPA 70E (standard electrical safety certification. Familiarity with JACE. Smart Metering experience. Communications experience. BICSI Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENT: Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to lift stand and bend. Ability to climb ladders
Pay Rate Range: $25-$35/hr
Health & Welfare Rate: $4.54/hr (paid for first 40 hrs worked each week)
Start Date: 5/10/21 (or ASAP)
Temp-to-Hire (after a min. of 520 hrs worked)
Project Location: Fort Sill, OK 73503 (exact work address TBD when hired)
Locals NOT Required but Preferred - Per Diem is offered for Non locals
M&IE: $40/day
Lodging: Reimburse actual cost up to GSA allowable amount of $96/day
Work Schedule: 7a-4p -- Monday -Friday
