Our partner, a leading petrochemical owner operator, is seeking a Financial Specialist to join their team in west Houston. This is a long-term opportunity with a global organization!

SUMMARY:
The role will be part of the Americas Controllership team. This role reports directly to Senior Manager, Controllership Americas that oversees the controllership responsibilities for GCGV operations.

DUTIES:
• Closely monitor the P&L, B/S and Cash flow of this new Joint Operation, and support the related forecasting activities
• Liaise with the site accounting and finance team within GCGV for Client’s accounting and financial reporting needs
• Monitor and analyze Client’s GCGV financial results on an overall basis (share of profit for manufacturing results inside GCGV + Co commercial results from selling of the products offtake from GCGV)
• Focal point for external auditor data requests relating to GCGV operations
• Partner with managerial performance reporting team to understand operational performance for PE and MEG, to enable a reliable forecast, to highlight any deviations/ area of concerns and propose mitigating actions in closing the gaps
• Partner with the BU, encompassing supply chain, commercial, sales, logistics in improving operational performance that leads to strong financial results, i.e. profitability and working capital
• Support the forecast of working capital requirements in collaboration with the BU, in maximizing cash flow for AMR region
• Collate data and maintain cash flow model for impairment assessment and support post investment review against investment case
• Partner with the BU to drive operational/ financial improvement opportunities and value creation initiatives
• Any add’ Ad Hoc analysis as required based on business demand

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in finance/accounting
• Helpful to have the project experience and dealing with joint venture partners preferred
• Big 4 Experience and Certified Public Accountant Preferred (CPA) preferred
• Well versed in Accounting Standards
• 5-year financial reporting experience, including group reporting in a complex multi-entity environment
• Working knowledge in SAP environment
• Advanced Excel skill
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
