Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently looking for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to be part of our dynamic team for our Bartow, FL location.

Pay Range $25 - $30 /hr Depending on Experience
Over Time paid 1.5X

Hours
Hours are M-F 3am to 4pm (13 hour Days, 5 days a week, max 65 hour week)
Some weeks are 4 day weeks, 52 hour weeks


The overall responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic include:
- Operate equipment and tools as needed to perform work
- Perform maintenance and installation on a variety of equipment, buildings and systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed
- Use manufacturers manuals, instructions, schematic diagrams, plans and sketches
- Assure preventative maintenance tasks are being completed as scheduled
- Advanced troubleshooting in both electrical and mechanical areas
- Detect and report any unusual conditions or major maintenance needs to proper supervisor
- Work with overhead cranes
- Implement cost-saving maintenance programs
- Assist in designing simple systems
- Work with crew members to diagnose and solve problems as they occur
- With the Supervisor, coordinate the workload of the department members
- Be the “go to” guy for less senior team members
- Work as a team leader by encouraging and supporting maintenance team daily
- Train new employees as needed
- Actively lead participation in 6S, Lean, and Safety Programs
- Adhere to environmental and storm water pollution prevention policies
- Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
- Must adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations
