General Description
Looking for a junior figure to join the shipping & logistics team in South Carolina with the Niron (polypropylene pipe and fittings) product line.
Duties
- Organize shipments to address or distribution centers of pipes and fittings with the customer.
- Manage and be responsible for material to be shipped.
- Verify that the material is available in time for shipping.
- Verify that the material is packed in conformity to shipping requirements.
- Verify that the freight is conform for transportation of the appropriate material
- Manage the paperwork for shipment.
- Ensure that the courier has all the necessary documentation for proper shipment.
- Coordinate with the customer for delivery dates at shipping address.
Requirements
- Preferred minimum (2) years of experience in shipping and logistics
- Perform physical work, outdoor work, and office work.
- Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and common inventory software.
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
- Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Determine the distance between objects.
- Carry and hold weight as per OSHA specifications.
