Major petrochemical company is seeking a Lab Chemist for a contract role to be located near Evansville, Indiana. Contract expected to last one year with chance for perm. Day shift.

Preferred Requirements

• Wet Lab in an industrial laboratory
• Expertise in analytical equipment: HPLC, UPLC, SEC, GPC, IR, NMR, Auto titrators, GC, MS, etc.
• Alternatively, expertise in the testing of plastics: extrusion, molding, physical property testing, rheological testing.
• Best practices in recording data and keeping a Lab Book.
• Software expertise
o Excel, Word, PowerPoint
o Specialized in statistics, project management, molecular or process modeling, etc.
• Good at fixing things: routine and specialized maintenance.

Education

• BS or MS in Chemistry or related fields (biology, nursing, environmental)
o Also open to PHD (completed or not) that changed education/career direction
• Classes taken:
o Organic Chem II with laboratory
o P-Chem and/or Physics with Laboratory
o Higher math than algebra
• Wet lab experience
• Analytical lab
