Machine Operators - Foam Cutter needed for a client in the Piedmont, SC area


Shift: 1st Shift - 7am-3pm Mon-Fri
Paid 30 minute lunch
Some overtime required as needed

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

MUST PASS TAPE MEASURE AND FRACTION TEST

SUMMARY: Manufacture products utilizing primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Following all procedures and work instructions, achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following but will not be limited to. Other duties may be assigned.
• Review job standards before running production
• Assure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformances
• Set up and operation of wrapping, boxing, saw, and buffing equipment.
• Reading and comprehension of floor level BOM’s to ascertain proper pack amount, box size, labeling requirements, sheeting thickness, cut dimensions, and buff dimensions
• Perform simple math such as addition and subtraction of fractions to determine correct cuts
• Perform simple math to determine amount of raw materials needed to cut for each order from yields provided on floor level BOM’s
• Review daily of all applicable quality alerts
• Immediately notify Production Supervisor of all discrepancies to established quality checks or any condition identified to be out of the normal operating condition
• Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates during staff meetings
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
• Participate in team problem solving activities (communication meetings, shift meetings, etc.,) and continuous improvement activities
• Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental procedures
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures
