Looking for Maintenance Technicians/ Millwrights! 1st shift - 8 day on, 6 off
Minimum of 3 years experience, prefer 5+
Pay: $30-$35/hr DOE
The key job responsibilities of the mechanics/millwrights are:
- performs routine inspections and planned maintenance to keep
equipment operational
- assess the equipment condition and operation and carry out appropriate
repairs or plans for further care
- uses senses and training to check machines or equipment to detect
malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors
or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
- uses computers to seek service and parts information and downloads
information from onboard computers in heavy machinery
- diagnoses, repairs, and maintains equipment
- dismantles and rebuilds machine components to manufacturers’
specifications
- uses welding equipment, hand, or machine tools to manufacture or repair
parts
- visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment according to the
work plans
- initiates work requests in CMMS when a problem is identified so planner
and scheduler can decide when repairs can be scheduled
- research job to be done and what prints and parts are necessary to make
repairs
- orders parts through expediter
- cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related
hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges,
valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
- tracks contractor and crew progress during down turns, inform planner
when complete, and closes out jobs
- attends and participates in meetings for down turns, safety, and staff
meetings
- read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work
procedures
- Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and
mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces
and generators
- operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during
the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on
machinery
