Metrology Technician
In plastic injection molding for high quality automotive interior components
This position will be located in Anderson County, SC. However, the extensive training entails a 4-month training assignment at the EuWe headquarters in Germany. Therefore, the candidate has to be prepared to temporarily live and work abroad.

Your Responsibilities
• Create inspection programs for a tactile 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM) of the make Wenzel and associated Software Quartis
• Operate and maintain high precision equipment
• Prepare measurements utilizing special precision fixtures or gauges
• Conduct or execute measurements of plastic components
• Evaluate and document data
• Analyze quality problems in a timely manner, troubleshoot and communicate issues
• Evaluate SPC data and measurement reports from other metrology vendors or customers
• Utilize statistical methods by identifying sufficient testing methods and sampling plans in order to achieve the necessary measurement capability
• Participate actively in new product development and introduction
• Perform calibrations
• Carry out functions described in Policies, Procedures, and Quality Manuals or assigned by supervisor
• Processing of laboratory orders and assignment of orders to external service providers

Your Profil / Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
• Education/Qualification:
o High school diploma or associates degree or relevant experience with equivalent qualifications
• Experience:
o Previous quality auditing or CMM experience, preferredly in the automotive industry, would be considered a plus
• Knowledge:
o MS Office
o Programming methods and software
o Statistical methods
o Reading and interpreting drawings
• Skills/Abilities:
o Work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to challenges
o Attention to detail

o Excellent oral and written communication in English (German language skills are considered a plus)
