Poly Molder Operator
Shift - 2nd Shift - 3pm - 11pm, Mon - Fri (Some Sat as needed)
Pay - $18.79/hr
Job Purpose/Summary:
• To operate an injection molding machine making polyurethane panels within specifications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Reviews work order and checks that correct raw materials are being used.
• Effectively operates multiple machines in department. Prepares and installs inserts to avoid die damage. Operates machine to minimize downtime.
• Cut/trim off flash and finish frame to quality standards.
• Stack panels in fives and affix barcode labels. Responsible for the proper labeling and scanning of part barcoded labels.
• Die to be inspected upon completion of run. Return die to tool room.
• Returns die to tool inspection area after run.
• Places scrap product in scrap cart.
• Meets or exceeds daily production targets by working with lead to optimize cycles.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices, 5S and safety practices in work area.
• Handles daily PM of molding machine when required.
• Reports labor and material accurately to ERP system.
• Performs related duties as required.
Necessary Abilities/Skills/Certifications:
• Calculate measurements
• Use shop tools
Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:
• High school or GED diploma
• 0-1 year work experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding
• Understands English to properly respond to quality suggestions
Accountability:
• For the quality of panels machined and meeting daily production targets
Equipment:
• Injection molding machine, gages, hand tools
