Reporting to the NBP Project Manager, the following roles have been identified to provide support to AGA throughout the design, construction, and commissioning of the NBP.
• Electrical Engineer
• Instrument/Control Systems Engineer
• Civil Engineer
• Structural Engineer
• Mechanical Engineer
• Process Engineer
The responsibilities of the above roles include but are not limited to the following:
Support engineering and design due diligence by monitoring the EPCM Contractor’s design, drawings, specifications, calculations, and vendor data to ensure that the EPCM Contractor delivers a safe, operable facility that meets contractual requirements.
Provide technical expertise, interpretation of project requirement, drawing, specifications, etc.
Review method statements for alignment with all standards.
Review and recommend for approval Technical Deviations.
Review and recommend for approval field design modifications.
Participate in QA/QC audits.
Participate in EPCM Contractor design risk analyses such as HAZOP, Safety Integrity Level (“SIL”) and Criticality Assessment.
Promote appropriate management of change (“MOC”) process during design engineering.
Provide engineering and technical support to the Construction Manager, Commissioning and Start‐Up Leads, and Operations Manager.
Advise NBP inspectors on quality issues by providing an engineering view on shortfalls, remedies, risks, and mitigations
Assists in the development of NBP project QA/QC procedures.
Support other AGA resources.
