Our client is proud to design and build projects and careers.  We are committed to fostering a welcoming and collaborative work environment that encourages big-picture thinking, brings out the best in our personnel, and helps us develop innovative solutions that contribute to building a better world together. If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you are invited to apply for this role.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Engineer to support and enhance reliability and maintenance practices at the Martin Lake Power Plant, one of our client's key generation assets. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in Planning, Scheduling, and Work Execution Management, who also brings a solid background in reliability engineering principles.
This is a customer-facing position with high visibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on plant performance and reliability. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in planning and scheduling, while also contributing to broader reliability initiatives as part of a larger organizational effort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the SME for Planning, Scheduling, and Work Execution Management, ensuring alignment with best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of the Reliability Optimization Initiative, focusing on sustainable work processes and asset performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Apply reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset health.
  • Utilize CMMS tools (e.g., SAP, Maximo) to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between the plant and the broader reliability organization, ensuring consistent execution of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
  • 7–10 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or asset management, with at least 2–3 years in planning/scheduling roles.
  • Deep understanding of work management processes, including job planning, backlog management, and schedule optimization.
  • Proficiency in CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo) and maintenance analytics tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • CMRP or CRE certification preferred.

Why This Role Stands Out:
  • Be the go-to expert for planning and scheduling at a major power generation facility.
  • Join a forward-thinking reliability team with a strong support network and shared best practices.
  • Contribute to strategic reliability initiatives with long-term impact.
  • Enjoy a high-visibility role with opportunities for professional growth and extended engagement.
