TRS is seeking an experienced Safety Manager - Industrial for a direct hire position within our client’s growing team of professionals in the Allentown, PA area. The primary responsibility of this position is to interact directly with plant employees and contractors and on a day-to-day basis to ensure a culture of safety and managing any incidents that arise.

Responsibilities Include:
• Providing safety and health assistance to fellow management employees, supervisors, and all other employees.
• Conducting incident investigation, entering reports and findings into safety management systems
• Providing specialty safety services and assessments addressing requirements that include ergonomics.
• Run the site’s industrial hygiene and biological monitoring program.
• Providing outreach to employees, promoting safety awareness throughout the organization.
• Investigating complaints and reports of unsafe or unhealthful working conditions; provide recommendations for abatement action; and verify completion of abatement action
• Support implementation and maintenance of site safety programs
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:
• 5+ years of hands-on safety program experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledgeable in developing and delivering custom training one-on-one, in groups, in classrooms, and via web-delivered media
• Skilled at performing safety assessments, inspections, and evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Experience with maintaining recordkeeping for injury/illness cases in accordance with OSHA requirements
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
