DUTIES:
• This position is responsible for the financial close and reporting for the Company and certain subsidiaries, ensures overall internal control over financial reporting and compliance with Company policies and procedures
• Produces periodic GAAP financial statements in support of regular reporting to management, Board, lenders, and as requested by 3rd parties
• Oversees general ledger processes and ensures a timely month-end close of management and non-project holding companies
• Oversees designated bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations
• Provides assistance to third party firms preparing income tax returns
• Responsible for timely processing of vendor payables in compliance with terms, establishes vendor cost accruals
• Facilitates system and process improvements and efficiencies related to month-end close, financial reporting, and other opportunities
• Pursues optimization initiatives
• Supports annual audit work, oversees and prepares audited financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements, shareholders equity and cash flows, footnotes
• Supports monthly/quarterly management reporting, annual planning and periodic forecasting, and related variance analyses
• The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• BA in accounting or finance (MBA or CPA preferred)
• 7-10 years of related corporate accounting work experience with company of at least $25M in revenue
• 3-5 years supervisory experience
• Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of US GAAP (energy industry preferred)
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & Excel; accounting ERP (NetSuite desirable); Vena, Workiva
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to the sensitive company information required
• Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
• Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Exceptional analytical and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to understand issues with a “big-picture” business perspective.
• Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to produce high quality work under deadlines.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and navigate through ambiguity to complete tasks.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, CA, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Austin, TX, Washington D.C. preferred. Remote option available.
