SUMMARY:
The Midstream Engineer will be responsible for coordinating across all business units to optimize midstream assets, including performing rotating equipment sizing analyses for pumps, calculating fluid flow, simulating system pipeline hydraulic modeling, & constructing SWD facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to work with multiple business units to develop Midstream Operations efficiency tools
• Develop and execute annual business plan, work plan, and budget by identifying midstream constraints based on production forecast scenarios
• Support asset integrity and reliability engineering for SWD & oil facilities, including liquid pipelines, pumping units and metering stations
• Day-to-day engineering support for operations including troubleshooting equipment and processes
• Develop, plan, and manage small capital projects including developing scopes and estimating project costs
• Manage the progress and costs associated with small capital and operational support projects
• Be comfortable managing multiple simultaneous projects and have a sound understanding of business needs to effectively prioritize their time
• Have robust understanding of project economics and ability to make good financial sounds business decisions
• Assist in generating ideas for projects to optimize the pipelines, conditioning, treating, pumping, and metering operations
• Analyze run times and integrity of the pipelines
• Monitor and assess chemical usage across pipelines and facilities
• Be willing to routinely work/engage field operations
• Drawing updates and project as built documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical
• Minimum of 5-10 years of oil and gas experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of pumping and separation, fluid flow, piping design, distributed control systems, design and process control basics, saltwater disposal wells, oil terminals, & compressor stations
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to read and understand process flow and piping & instrument diagrams (PFD and P&ID)
• Ability to conduct hydraulic modeling in PIPESIM
• Advanced user of Spotfire
