Major engineering company is seeking a Maintenance Planner for a contract role to be based in Phoenix, AZ. Role expected to last 11-12 months. Company is assisting on ops and maintenance for power plants. Hourly rate, on-site work. Per diem and monthly travel allowance for out of towners. Utility experience ideal. Electrical and Instrumentation background preferred. This is an opportunity to assist on a significant, large size project.

Responsibilities:
- Create Work Orders from approved WOs and CARs as required.
- Plan work packages in accordance with the Maintenance Work Package Procedure.
- Review description to ensure problem statement is adequate enough to clearly define corrective action required. Work with requestor(s) to verify accuracy of information detailed in work order.
- Complete the Environmental checklist and assist in the development of an Environmental work plan.
- Ensure work packages for Cyber related systems are in compliance with NERC CIP regulations.
- Submit requests for required Service and/or Material (Items):
- Work with Storekeepers to verify material/item accuracy and availability.
- Complete Maximo Work Order backlog review.
Work Package Criteria (including but not limited to the following):
- Energized Equipment Work Permit and LOTO requirements.
- Hot work permit requirements.
- Confined space requirements.
- JHA and PJB requirements
- Risk to generation.
- Environmental Review Checklist and associated risks.
- Major or minor disassembly.
- Job Plan tasks for each craft involved with labor and duration.
- Number of craft/disciplines required
- Required Items.
- Plant and/or OEM documentation and drawings.
- QA/QC inspection requirements and hold points.
- Engineering support requirements.
- Contract support required.
- OEM Representative.
- Special Tools identified
- Return to Service Checklist.
- Post Maintenance Testing requirements and plans.
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreed.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
