Excellent opportunity with the worlds largest EPC firm for a Shutdown Construction planner for project in Springdale, Arkansas
Ideal candidates should have 10 years of expertise in construction planning and shutdowns planning. This resource is needed in the project for aprox 6 months, to plan and execute the plant shutdown.
Here are some of the requirements of the position. In addition to the Global Functional
- Experience in shutdown planning 10 years minimum. Develop detailed shutdown schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project and it will be required to use Client work order system as well.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define the scope of work.
- Sequence tasks to minimize downtime and ensure efficient resource use. Break down the shutdown scope into manageable work packages.
- Ensure all work packs include necessary drawings, permits, materials, and safety procedures.
- Estimate and allocate labor, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure availability during the shutdown window.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of industrial plant operations, maintenance procedures, and relevant engineering principles.
- Planning and Scheduling: Expertise in using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and work order systems.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the shutdown process.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is often preferred. Experience in shutdown planning and management is also a key requirement.
