TRS Craft Services have immediate needs for Welder/Fabricator in Conroe, TX for Temp to Perm positions!

SUMMARY:

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding the base by completing the following duties and responsibilities listed below.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow customer specifications and engineering drawings, gather required materials, lay-out, assemble and weld base.
2. Reviews the drawing package for the base to plan out the scope of construction.
3. Gather materials and cut steel according to drawing specifications.
4. Where applicable, grind the materials to prepare for welding.
5. Lay out the channels and cross beams to begin forming the base structure.
6. Verifies dimensions, levels, and squares of the base.
7. Cut out openings as specified by the drawings.
8. Weld the plate onto the base, grinding the plate when necessary.
9. Installs grounds pads.
10. Examine weld for appropriate size, quality and precision.
11. May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and rewelding as needed.
12. May operate a forklift to move materials and bases.
13. Follow all established Quality Guidelines.
14. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
15. Follow established health and safety guidelines.
16. Adheres to all Quality Standards defined by the Quality Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. 1 year of experience welding structural steel. (Experience requirement may be replaced with completion of a welding program through an accredited institution.)
3. Must be proficient in MIG and Flux Core 3G and 4G welding methods. (3G- Uphill and 4G-Overhead)
4. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
5. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
6. Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
7. Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
8. Ability to review designs blueprints.
9. Strong attention to detail in measurements and design specifics.
10. Experience operating a forklift preferred.

M-F 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Rate $18-22 per hour based on qualifications
