Position responsibilities include:
- Chemistry calculations.
- Operation of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GPC, UV-Vis, GC, and titration in support of piloting experiments.
- Support Process chemistry efforts in the Process Technology Group, primarily by performing analysis of polycarbonate resins and process samples obtained from pilot plants/manufacturing. Support efforts could include lab-based experiments for projects.
- Development and validation of new methods in support of technical deliverables; Providing testing support for scale up of new polymers and process improvements in the commercial resin plant.
- Prepare calibration standards and routine calibration of analytical methods. Troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
- Coordinate wet lab safety and housekeeping. Maintain lab PPE supplies.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and communicate results to other team members.
- Must have Chemistry BS or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication, organization, interaction skills, highly motivated, self-starter
- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry with practical hands-on laboratory experience.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities/tasks and deliver on objectives
- Previous industrial experience is a plus.
