Location: Spartanburg, SC
Industry: heavy industrial manufacturing
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Pay: $26/hr - $41/hr depending on experience
Hours: 2/2/3 straight shift (either nights or days)
3rd: 7pm – 7am

Summary: Involved in all areas of plant maintenance including building and equipment. Other areas might include wiring, fabrication, assembly and testing of developmental machines, and is able to perform task with minimal supervision.
Job Duties:
- Adheres and maintains to all safety rules, regulations, and standards
- Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Assure that the production goals are met
- Separate scrap materials from trash and place in appropriate bins
- After completing daily tasks cleans the entire work area, makes sure it is free of clutter and debris
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and practices and follows supervisor directives consistently, respectfully, professionally, and effectively in a manner reflecting the quality expectations and standards of conduct of the company
- Performing all duties related to maintenance including installation and wiring of equipment, PMs and repairs
- Forklift certification; working at heights certification for scissor and boom lifts; fall protection certification; install and change lighting fixtures and bulbs
- Perform these and all other duties as assigned.
- Environmental compliance with respect to disposal of waste and spillage.
- Experience using PLC software. Ability to modify software and perform minor program adjustments; write simple programs; program drives; program robots.
- Project management, complex PLC programming. Experience working with and maintaining servo motors; able to work with and on communication protocols such as switches and ethernet.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician for a manufacturing environment required
- Metals manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Metal stamping process repair experience preferred
- Automotive tier 1 supplier experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand and repetitively lift, push, and pull 50 or more lbs. continuously throughout assigned work shift.
- Moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting & grasping.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions / directions in English.
- Must be willing to always wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
- Ability and desire to perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the scope and nature of our business.
- Score for Maintenance aptitude test within range for specific job classification.

**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical to be eligible for hire (physical will include respirator fitting)
