A Control Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of industrial control and automation systems for large‑scale capital projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and front‑end engineering through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and startup—while ensuring systems meet project, client, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Architecture and Design: Designing the blueprint for automation systems, selecting controllers, sensors, and actuators to monitor and adjust process variables automatically.
  • PLC and HMI Programming: Writing code for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and designing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for digital dashboards.
  • Control Loop Tuning: Applying advanced mathematical models (such as PID control) to ensure the system remains stable, efficient, and free from oscillations.
  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS): Managing large-scale, decentralized controller systems used in complex industries like oil refining or power generation.
