About the role
TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Quality Specialist for a workshop-based position in Welshpool. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities across fabrication work fronts, ensuring compliance with quality requirements, maintaining material traceability, driving documentation deliverables, and supporting the successful completion of manufacturing records and quality close-out activities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct daily quality surveillance across workshop fabrication activities.
- Drive quality documentation deliverables and MDR close-out activities.
- Verify and maintain material traceability records and status reporting.
- Review contractor quality documents for compliance with project requirements.
- Witness and sign off inspection and test plan hold and witness points.
- Monitor corrective actions and report on quality improvement effectiveness.
- Raise and manage NCRs and quality observations as required.
Skills and experience required
- Trade or Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Supervision.
- Current inspection qualification such as CSWIP, IWS, or NACE/AMPP.
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS, ISO standards and fabrication quality practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Excellent reporting, documentation and electronic filing skills.
