Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC 28217
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonus
Compensation: $100-130k depending on experience, could go higher for senior level AM
Industry: plastics (resin, polymer), manufacturing, raw materials, chemicals
We currently seek an Account Manager for a direct hire position within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Charlotte, NC, you will be working for one of the world’s leading plastics organizations. A successful individual in this role must have strong sales, marketing and negotiation skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Job Description:
• Identify and develop new customers in US I Canada region
• Sustain rapport with key accounts through regular meetings and identifying and meeting their needs.
• Formulate plans for establishing long term relationships with customers and position our company as a preferred supplier
• Study the industry dynamics and competitive landscape and develop strategies suitably to increase sustainable market share
• Assist the business in decision making and strategy development by providing regular market intelligence
• Proactively identify and recommend new products and product opportunities
• Work with manufacturing, customer service, supply chain and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with laws and regulations and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
• At least 5 years of successful Sales and Account Management experience in PET (polyethylene terephthalate) Resins or related polymer/chemical manufacturing industries
• Demonstrated and successful negotiation and excellent (written and verbal) communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Willingness and ability to travel (50%) and either have or can obtain a valid passport
• Self-driven and ability to deliver results with limited supervision
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship.
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
