Water/Wastewater – Civil Engineer Project Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Successful candidate will assist with water, wastewater, and general civil engineering projects which may include collection and distribution pipelines, pump stations, industrial facilities environmental compliance, land development planning and design, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and construction administration. A significant portion of our consulting services are related to water, wastewater, and storm water conveyance, storage and pumping. As such, the candidate should expect a substantial focus on hydraulic design activities. Typical activities include client interactions, preparation of studies, development of construction documents, permit coordination, and other aspects of civil engineering services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Work on water / wastewater / stormwater treatment and conveyance including: planning, process evaluations, detailed design and construction administration.
• Client facing work including preparation and conducting of effective presentations, participation in client meetings and field interaction with clients and subcontractors.
• Excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff and clients.
• Ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously, as well as strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercises judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Ability to ensure project compliance with all companies practices and quality and safety standards and facilitate coordination for completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
• Participating in professional associations, activities, and conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EIT certification or PE license required
• BS in Civil, Construction, or Environmental Engineering
• 3+ years of experience
• Good communication skills required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
