TRS Staffing is seeking a Civil Estimator for a local, multi-disciplinary general contractor specializing in heavy civil and commercial construction in Surrey, BC. The Civil Estimator, reporting to the Chief Estimator, will be responsible for supporting full-cycles estimating activities using estimating software to perform quality take offs, cost analysis, bid management, negotiations and document control.
Responsibilities:
-Produce complete estimates for projects (including specifications, proposals and other documents
-Support in preparing bid strategies for competitive tender packages along with technical input
-Determine the scope of work and estimates based on previous experience
-Research and review vendors and subcontractors for projects
Qualifications:
-At least 5 years of experience in the civil construction sector in estimation and cost control
-Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or any related field
-Strong knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software, MS Project Suite and CAD
-Knowledge of local construction materials and techniques
