Job Title: Commercial Executive
Reporting To: Head – Site Techno-Commercial
Experience Required: 3–7 Years
Plant Location: Mundra, Gujarat
Industry: Metals / Manufacturing
Educational Qualification:
- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering
- Specializations: Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering
Preferred Industry Background:
- Copper, Zinc, Steel, Aluminum, Cement, Process or Chemical Plants
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- PO Placement: Complete within 30 days turnaround time (TAT)
- Line-Item Closure: 150 items per month
- ARIBA Approvals: 100% compliance
- Vendor Development: Minimum 10 alternate vendors per quarter
- Rejection Case Closure: 100% resolution
- Vendor Payment Follow-ups: Timely coordination
Job Requirements:
- Strong negotiation skills and a robust approved vendor base
- Hands-on experience with SAP (MM Module), ARIBA, and reverse auctions
- Proficiency in preparing daily and monthly MIS reports for the Techno-Commercial department
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Material planning, sourcing, and vendor development
- Vendor evaluation in coordination with user teams; contract finalization based on cost-effectiveness
- Execution of import orders; coordination with CHA & freight forwarders; EPCG documentation with taxation team
- Establish long-term business relationships
- Preparation of Annual Rate Contracts (ARCs) for C-class items; auto-ordering via SAP agreements
- Benchmark category performance across industry and internal teams; stay updated with market trends
- Ensure procurement aligns with production plans, including imports
- Coordinate with finance and divisions to meet payment commitments
- Handle issue resolution and complaints with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
- Monitor and finalize commercial terms for CAPEX projects
- Conduct price negotiations and variation analysis
- Prepare project budgets, estimates, and tender documents
- Actively contribute to digital transformation in SCM (e.g., e-Procurement, SAP & ARIBA enhancements, touchless ordering)
