Compensation: $110-120k plus up to 12% annual bonus

TRS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Manager for our client in the Spartanburg, SC area. As Commercial Manager, you will manage the commercial activities, including the procurement of strategic raw materials and reagents, parts and equipment, and the sale of various byproducts.
Activities:
• Scope of assignment includes:
o Leading strategic analysis/ project execution
o Process analysis and improvement
o Ensuring internal & external relevant data collection
o Commodity & market analysis; cost modeling & analysis
o Sourcing, award, & execute across facility
o Contract administration & compliance monitoring
• Oversee the development and implementation of commercial strategy for vendors and suppliers (based on selection, price, quality, delivery dates, service, relationship, and past performance).
• Ensure all written inquiries and verbal quotes administered by purchasing department for vendor supplied items comply with job requisitions and specifications.
• Review and analyze key purchase orders, bid proposals, requisitions for goods and services.
Review and analyze bids for byproducts.
Research price proposals, financial reports, and other data to stay current with changes in business practices and market conditions to determine reasonable prices for materials, parts and byproducts.
Negotiate terms and conditions for commercial agreements and administer agreements.
Review and analyze contracts for appropriate verbiage, proposals, pricing and terms of service.
Requirements:
5+ Years Procurement and/or commercial experience
Demonstrated responsibility for managing purchasing and/or commercial operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing and/or chemical processing environment
Experience working with vendors and customers and excellent negotiating skills.
Demonstrated skills, experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced work environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
Excellent communication skills, able to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Detail oriented, with excellent organization and follow-up skills.
Initiative; self-motivated, driven.
Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.
