An exciting clean technology company is recruiting for a Contracts Specialist to focus on Pre-Award work.
The company have created and pioneered a market-leading clean marine technology solution and the company are now experiencing a significant increase in activity and business. They are now expanding their team and recruiting high calibre people to join them on an exciting journey of rapid growth.
They are recruiting for a Contract Specialist to focus on successful pre-contract-award phase activities. The development and management of their contracting processes with their key customers and partners is essential to their success.
This new role reports to the Head of Contract Management and is primarily responsible for; (a) Leading the preparation of appropriate contract structures and terms to achieve balanced and manageable contracts, (b) managing the commercial and contractual negotiations to ensure the effective execution of contracts that align with our safety, quality, risk and commercial objectives, and (C) supporting the operations and sales teams with regards to innovative and best practice contract management standards. The Contract Specialist has responsibility for contract management requirements across the full business lifecycle.
This a great opportunity for a contracts professional to establish high standard capabilities to meet the exacting demands of our customers. The scope of responsibilities covers all bidding and contract negotiation activities leading to contract award.

Key Responsibilities
o Oversight of all necessary pre-award contract management and administration activities providing appropriate professional advice and leadership.
o Develop contracting strategies to support new bids.
o Implement best practice processes and solutions – Pre-award.
o Lead preparation of appropriate contract structures and terms to achieve balanced and manageable contracts.
o Co-ordinate input from Legal Counsel, CFO, COO, HCM and Operations team to assess contract risk and opportunities.
o Proactive contribution to bid qualification and proposals.
o Develop and maintain the contract template library.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience & Characteristics
o MRICS or CCM Certification (formally IACCM) preferrable
o Contract management experience (preferably EPC/projects related business) is critical for this role and understanding of full contract Lifecyle.
o 5-7 years experience in Contract Management
o Good knowledge of and experience in contractual language and the key clauses for contract execution and successful delivery of projects.
o Strong organisational and time management skills.
o Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent negotiation and contract resolution skills.
o Financial and Business acumen.
o Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with ownership of your work.
o Excellent business standard written and verbal skills – English.
o Strong interpersonal skills – accessible and approachable.

Other:
o Travel: occasional overseas travel.
o Place of work: Flexible working option, head office is in Central London.
