TRS Staffing Solutions is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Controller.

Our client is a leader in Food and Beverage industry. This position will be responsible for all business processes and financial reporting of an operation employing more than 3000 people. The Controller will supervise a team of people, report weekly and monthly financial results, and ensure the accuracy of the financial statements. This is a full-time, permanent role!

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and enforce polices and business processes to ensure accuracy of financial information and to prevent fraud and avoidable loss
• Manage the monthly close
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Lead annual business planning, forecasting, cost reporting and capital review/approval
• Assist department heads in departmental budget control and cost/benefit analysis
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and GAAP
• Review and approve financial statements and reports
• Coach operations personnel on financial matters related to their area of responsibility
• Create, automate, and continuously improve reporting tools and dashboards for business needs and KPIs
• Validate results for accuracy and prepare comprehensive executive level explanations of differences
• Recruiting, training, and developing accounting team members
• Identifying opportunities to improve profit

Required Skills:
• CPA or equivalent
• Experience in food or manufacturing industry
• Minimum five years related experience
• Experience with SAP or other ERP
• Expert level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Must be tenacious with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches
• Extremely well organized and objective oriented
• Tireless work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
• Exemplifies initiative, intelligence, strong attention to detail, and integrity in striving for continuous improvement
