Location: Fremantle, WA
Duration: 18 months (with possible extension)
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Rate: $105 per hour + super

About the Role: Join us in transforming the Victoria Quay precinct! As the Design Manager for the B-Shed upgrade, you'll oversee design delivery and change management, ensuring the successful execution of this pivotal project. This role is crucial for enhancing visitor experiences to Rottnest Island.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with experts and manage third-party design consultants to meet project requirements.

• Oversee the transition to asset management for new and existing assets.

• Ensure all designs comply with legislation and national standards.

• Supervise project delivery resources for site investigations.

• Manage technical interfaces from reference design to delivery, including RFIs and NCRs.

• Handle approvals and compliance assessments through the design consultant.

• Ensure design milestones are met.

About You:

• 10+ years in building or public transport works design management.

• Experience in project engineering/management and professional engineering services delivery.

• Chartered Engineer or eligible for registration.

• Knowledge of statutory requirements, regulations, and national standards for buildings and maritime infrastructure.

• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
