DevOps Developer

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client, a software development organization, located in the beautiful area of Calgary, AB as a DevOps Developer. You would be based out of one of the fastest growing tech-hubs in North America and working with a dynamic organization with operations throughout the world.

In this role, you will be working alongside a talented team of skilled developers and engineers. Further to this, you will interact regularly with subject matter experts and other stakeholders. You will bring to the team your previous experience with control systems, release management, and CI/CD systems.

Job Duties:
• Develop and maintain systems for building, testing, and deploying software products.
• You will be involved with administering Jira, GitHub, Azure Pipelines, Confluence, and other systems.
• Actively contribute as a member of a scrum team based in Calgary and collaborate with team members in other geographic locations worldwide.
• Manage the process of releasing betas and official releases.
• Use IAC and CAC to manage infrastructure as code.

Qualifications:
• Must have Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Must have 2+ years of experience managing GitHub or other control systems
• Should have experience with CI/CD system such as Jenkins and Bamboo
• Azure or AWS experience is considered an asset
• Common programming languages would be considered an asset
• Experience with Jira and Confluence would be considered an asset
• Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
