JOB TITLE: Engineering Head
EXPERIENCE RANGE: 10-15 years of experience
QUALIFICATION : B.E. / B.Tech - Mechanical or Mining Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Head will be expected to carry out, including but not limited to the following activities:
1.Operations & mechanical installations in mine shaft including shaft structure, headgear, winders, pumping, crushing, conveyor operation & underground equipment (inclusive of mobile and fixed plant).
2.Prior experience in leading Shaft maintenance for shaft of similar capacity and operating procedure and practices.
3.Clear understanding of DGMS regulations.
4.Developing and implementing maintenance strategy, maintenance checklists and associated SOP for Winders and other mechanical equipment.
5.Plan & monitor day-to-day basis maintenance activity of winders as per OEM guidelines. Guide the winder maintenance job (inclusive of Service Cage and Skips) at site & in workshop and shall provide support to comply all the statutory documents and records.
6.Leading the troubleshooting activity during normal breakdowns. Analyze root causes, suggest and implement improvement actions to avoid reoccurrence.
7.Analysis of major and repetitive breakdowns in mechanical underground equipment including winders, sheaves, Service Cage, Skips, hydraulics, conveyors and other associated equipment and find out root cause and propose improvement actions.
8.Quick turnaround for emergency breakdowns to bring the equipment back in operations.
9.Design systems/process to follow existing and future safety standards and comply to the same while supervising or executing jobs at site.
10.Prior experience in winder rope change over.
11.Planning for spares procurement to streamline spares planning for winder and other mechanical and hydraulic spares.
12.Developing and implementing spare replacement plan for all critical spares in winders and other mechanical installations.
13.Developing and implementing statutory compliance logbooks for Winders installations etc.
14.Specifically check for all the safety circuits of winders, implement process for testing, train engineer/ supervisors for executing the same.
15.Provide advice and assistance to the projects undertaken for the upgradation of winder which includes designing, engineering and specifications.
16.Conducting audit of existing condition of winder and suggest the best solution for non-conformity found in winder mechanical installations.
17.Provide on job and classroom training to all new HZL engineers and contract workmen/foreman regarding the trouble shooting and maintenance of winder and other equipment.
18.Inspection of winding ropes and providing solution to maintain its good operational condition.
19.Guidance and supervision during rope replacement, conveyance replacement and other critical jobs which is required to maintain the shaft operation in good manner.
