In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure that the company’s HSE policies and procedures are followed and maintained. Some other responsibilities of the candidate include training and assisting other staff members, incident/accident management, and some administration/reporting duties.
Job Duties:
• Perform audits and investigations that will help document safety trends and metrics.
• Create and implement safety plans for the job.
• Build relationships with clients and discover ways to create value for them.
• Comply with laws and regulations regarding safety by keeping records of events.
• Continually look to improve safety programs, plans, and systems as the job evolves.
• Create a workplace culture that accepts, understands, and believes in the importance of safety in the workplace.
Qualifications:
• Must have a post-secondary Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Health and Safety or related experience/education.
• Containing a professional designation preferred.
• Having experience in the construction industry would be considered a strong asset
• Experience dealing with Injury management, Field safety auditing, and investigation experience would be considered an asset.
• Can travel anywhere in North America.
